On Saturday, April 29, 2023, the Department of Civil Engineering at FTUH held a Workshop on Aligning the 2023 Curriculum for the FTUH Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering program at the Claro Hotel. The workshop aimed to align the 2021 curriculum of the FTUH Civil Engineering undergraduate program by incorporating 20 credit hours of Competency-Strengthening Courses (MPK), as mandated by the UNHAS 2023 Curriculum Program (K23 UH).
The workshop, attended by faculty members of the Civil Engineering Department (DTS) at FTUH and led directly by the Head of the Civil Engineering Department at FTUH, Prof. Wihardi Tjaronge, was opened and closed by the Dean of FTUH, Prof. M. Isran Ramli. The workshop was moderated by the Deputy Head of the Civil Engineering Department at FTUH, Dr.Eng. Bambang Bakri. On this occasion, the Deputy Head of the Civil Engineering Department at FTUH began the workshop with a presentation on the implementation strategy for transforming the 2021 undergraduate curriculum of the Civil Engineering Program into the 2023 curriculum, which had previously been agreed upon by the Undergraduate Civil Engineering Curriculum Transformation Review Team—comprising the Chairs of the Faculty Expert Groups (KKD) and Full Professors from the Civil Engineering Department, as well as the FTUH Undergraduate Civil Engineering Curriculum Development Task Force.
In the workshop report, Prof. Wihardi Tjaronge stated that the FTUH Civil Engineering Undergraduate Program is ready to implement the UNHAS 2023 Curriculum in the 2023/2024 academic year, starting in August 2023. In his closing remarks at the workshop, the Dean of FTUH, Prof. M. Isran Ramli, commended the workshop’s outcomes and the commitment of all DTS FTUH faculty members to implementing the UNHAS 2023 Curriculum (K-23). “The implementation of K-23 in the Bachelor of Technology (S1 TS) program will further strengthen the competencies of both students and faculty in the S1 TS program at FTUH, ensuring that industry demands for the fulfillment of the Graduate Learning Outcomes for the S1 TS program at FTUH can be met,” said Prof. Isran during the workshop’s closing remarks.
