Leaders of the Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University Attend the CKNet-INA Members Meeting.

Associate Dean for Planning, Resources, and Alumni Affairs Dr. Eng. Ir. Muhammad Rusman, M.T., IPM., ASEAN.Eng., and Associate Dean for Partnerships, Research, and Innovation Prof. Dr. Ir. Rustan Tarakka, ST., M.T., IPM., ASEAN. Eng., along with Dr. Eng. Ir. Rita Tahir Lopa, M.T., from the Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University (PU-SDA), attended the Collaborative Knowledge Network Indonesia (CKNet-INA) Members Meeting. The event was held on Friday, April 26, 2024, at Pradita University in Tangerang. The purpose of this members’ meeting was to discuss several topics, including the CKNet-INA 2022–2023 Work Report and the Presentation of the CKNet-INA 2024 Work Plan.

With the mission “To become the National Think Tank in the field of Infrastructure, Water, and Environmental Management (IWEM) by 2025,” CKNet-INA is a collaborative knowledge network currently established by 10 universities in Indonesia. The existence of this network aims to improve the management of infrastructure, water, and the environment while supporting government policies to decentralize knowledge about water management down to the regional level and to strengthen the quality of human resources (HR) in local governments.

CKNet-INA itself was founded in June 2005 and initiated by 10 leading universities in Indonesia, which subsequently agreed to form a knowledge network consisting of universities: the Collaborative Knowledge Network of Indonesia (CKNet). Since January 2011, CKNet has comprised 27 member universities across Indonesia, stretching from North Sumatra in the west to Papua in the east. Meanwhile, in 2017, CKNet’s membership grew from 41 members (in 2016) to 43 members and continues to grow to this day. CKNet’s current membership consists not only of higher education institutions in Indonesia but also of government agencies and professional associations.
