PT Nindya Karya Holds a Campus Recruitment Event at the UNHAS Faculty of Engineering to Strengthen Industry-University Synergy
PT Nindya Karya held a campus hiring event at the Hasanuddin University (UNHAS) Faculty of Engineering, Gowa Engineering Campus, on Wednesday (February 25, 2026). This event is part of the company’s strategy to recruit top engineering talent early on in order to support the acceleration of national infrastructure development.
The event was officially opened by the Dean of the UNHAS Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Eng. Muhammad Isran Ramli, S.T., M.T., IPM., AER. In his remarks, he noted that enthusiasm among students and alumni was very high, as reflected by the number of online registrants, which reached 575 people.
The Dean of the UNHAS Faculty of Engineering emphasized that this event aligns with the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) targeted by the UNHAS Rector, namely: increasing the number of students in Master’s (S2) and Doctoral (S3) programs; reducing the waiting period for graduates—with a target that within a maximum of six months after graduation, they have secured decent employment; strengthening student internship programs; and increasing the contribution of industry practitioners as adjunct faculty members.
According to him, the campus hiring event and the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with PT Nindya Karya have been instrumental in increasing graduate employment and internship opportunities for students. He even invited the CEO of PT Nindya Karya to serve as a practitioner-instructor at the UNHAS Faculty of Engineering.
“Through this collaboration, we are jointly building high-caliber human resources for Indonesia,” he said.
The Chair of the UNHAS Faculty of Engineering Alumni Association (IKA), Ir. Muh. Sapri Pamulu, Ph.D., IPU, expressed his appreciation for the event. He noted that the number of UNHAS Engineering alumni has now reached approximately 41,000, who are spread across and contributing to various strategic sectors.
He also highlighted the shared challenge regarding the transition period for new graduates. According to him, collaboration between the university and industry is a concrete step toward accelerating graduates’ transition from academia to the workforce.
In his company profile presentation, the President Director of PT Nindya Karya, Ir. Firmansyah, S.T., IPU, explained that the company’s business lines include the construction, investment, manufacturing, and real estate management sectors. Currently, 92 percent of the company’s operations are digital, supported by 24 internal applications that enhance project effectiveness and efficiency.
He also outlined the company’s operational strategies, innovations in project work methods, certifications and awards received, as well as a number of signature projects, including those currently underway in South Sulawesi. Over the past five years, PT Nindya Karya has consistently made significant contributions to national development.
“We hope that UNHAS engineering alumni and students will join us and contribute alongside Nindya Karya,” he said.
The session on resource introduction and talent development was presented by Eduard Batubara, S.E. He emphasized that Nindya Karya not only builds physical infrastructure but also develops people through a structured human resource development system. The company also welcomes student internship programs as part of its talent development ecosystem.
During the public lecture and career opportunities session, moderated by Ir. Amril Taufiq Gobel, S.T., M.T., IPU., AER, it was emphasized that Nindya Karya’s presence on the FT-UH campus aims to recruit the best talent while providing inspiration and industry insights to students and alumni.
The first speaker, Ir. Deni Dwiraharja, S.T., M.T., SVP of Human Capital at PT Nindya Karya, explained the various available job openings and the recruitment stages. He emphasized the principles of the People Excellent Program as the foundation for career development, complete with clear career paths and a continuous coaching system.
Meanwhile, the second speaker, Ir. Habibie Razak, FIEAust., EngExec., IntPE(Aus)—a UNHAS Civil Engineering alumnus who currently serves as Chairman of BKS PII and Regional Director (Energy) at Surbana Jurong Group Indonesia & ASEAN—shared his perspectives and experiences as an Indonesian engineer at the national and international levels. He encouraged the younger generation of engineering students to be adaptable, competent, and ready to compete globally.
The Associate Dean for Partnerships, Research, Innovation, and Alumni at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Hasanuddin (FT-UH), Prof. Dr. Ir. Rustan Tarakka, S.T., M.T., IPM.,AER, expressed his confidence that this collaboration will provide sustainable benefits in the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. According to him, academic-industrial synergy will strengthen educational activities, research, internships, and professional collaborations relevant to the needs of the business and industrial sectors.
This campus hiring event serves as a strategic opportunity to strengthen the relationship between the UNHAS Faculty of Engineering and PT Nindya Karya, while reaffirming their shared commitment to producing outstanding engineers ready to contribute to Indonesia’s development.
