The 42nd Doctoral Defense in Civil Engineering

(Gowa, March 23, 2015) The doctoral defense in the field of Civil Engineering by Ir. Busthan, M.T., with the dissertation title “Analysis of Landslide Slope Vulnerability Based on the Degree of Volcanic Rock Weathering,” took place in Room LT.3 of the CSA JK Center building at 10:30 a.m. WITA. The examination committee consisted of Dr.-Ing. Ir. Wahyu H. Piarah, MSME, as Chair of the Committee; Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Ir. A.M. Imran, as Advisor; Prof. Dr. H. Lawalenna Samang, MS., M.Eng.; and Dr. Ir. Muhammad Ramli, M.T. as Co-Advisors; Prof. Dr. Emmy Suparka as External Examiner; and Prof. Dr. Ir. Mary Selintung, MSc, Prof. Dr. M. Wihardi Tjaronge, M.Eng, Ir. Achmad Bakri Muhiddin, M.Sc., Ph.D., and Dr. Eng. Tri Harianto, S.T., M.T., each serving as examiners.

Ir. Busthan, M.T. (a lecturer in the Department of Geological Engineering) successfully earned his doctoral degree with a grade of “highly satisfactory,” becoming the 42nd doctoral graduate to complete the doctoral program (S3) in Civil Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, UNHAS.
