Unhas’s Faculty of Engineering Holds an Initial Mutual Check (MC-0) for the Construction of Phase III of the Sports Hall
The Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University (Unhas) held an Initial Mutual Check (MC-0) as the first step in the construction of Phase III of the Sports Hall. The event took place at the construction site located on the Faculty of Engineering grounds at the Gowa Campus on Friday, April 25, 2025.
The Initial Mutual Check (MC-0) is a crucial stage in a construction project, aimed at ensuring alignment between technical plans and actual on-site conditions before construction work begins. This activity involved various parties, including the Director of Logistics/UKPBJ at Unhas, the Chair of the Unhas Internal Audit Unit, the Head of the Subdirectorate for Goods and Services Procurement Implementation, the Head of the Subdirectorate for Occupational Health, Safety, and Welfare at Unhas, the Head of the Administrative Division of the Unhas Faculty of Engineering, the Technical Team for the Construction of the Unhas Faculty of Engineering Sports Hall (Phase III), CV. Piramid Global Konsultan as the Planning Consultant, CV. Maega Anugerah Mandiri as the Construction Contractor, and CV. Tiga Tiga Tujuh Consultant as the Supervising Consultant.
In his remarks, the Associate Dean for Planning, Resources, and Finance at the Unhas Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Ir. Muhammad Rusman, S.T., M.T., stated that the MC-0 meeting serves as a crucial milestone to ensure the project proceeds on target and efficiently.
“We hope that the construction of this Phase 3 sports hall will be carried out efficiently so that it can be completed at least on time, and if possible, even sooner than the scheduled deadline,” he said.
Additionally, a representative from the Unhas Subdirectorate of Occupational Health and Safety emphasized the importance of ensuring all necessary safety measures—including personal protective equipment (PPE)—are in place so that construction activities can be carried out safely, as our workers are human beings who have the right to safety and security until this construction project is completed.
Phase III of the Sports Hall is a continuation of the integrated sports facility development at the Unhas Faculty of Engineering. In this phase, construction is focused on refining the main structure and adding several supporting facilities, which are expected to improve the quality of sports facilities for the academic community.
By carrying out this MC-0 event, the Unhas Faculty of Engineering demonstrates its commitment to realizing campus infrastructure development that is transparent, of high quality, and in accordance with applicable technical standards.
