June 2026 FT-Unhas Alumni Graduation Ceremony: Top Doctoral Graduate Presents Innovation for Sustainable Logistics
The Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University (FT-Unhas) once again achieved a proud milestone with the graduation ceremony for the June Commencement Period of the 2025/2026 Academic Year. A total of 163 graduates from the Bachelor’s (S1), Master’s (S2), and Doctoral (S3) programs officially completed their studies and were honored during the Faculty of Engineering’s Graduation Ceremony, held at the Exhibition Hall in the Center of Technology (CoT) Building, Faculty of Engineering, Unhas, Gowa, on Sunday, June 21.
The alumni send-off ceremony served as an important occasion for the Unhas Faculty of Engineering to recognize graduates who have successfully completed their studies while strengthening the bond between alumni and their alma mater. The event was attended by faculty leadership, the senate, department chairs, program directors, the academic community, and representatives from the Hasanuddin University Engineering Alumni Association (IKATEK).
According to academic data from the June 2026 Commencement Period, the Faculty of Engineering at Unhas conferred degrees on 129 Bachelor’s (S1) graduates, 32 Master’s (S2) graduates, and 2 Doctoral (S3) graduates. This achievement brings the total number of graduates from the Hasanuddin University Faculty of Engineering for the year 2026 to 712, comprising 531 Bachelor’s graduates, 155 Master’s graduates, and 26 Doctoral graduates.
In his remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University, Prof. Dr. Eng. Ir. Muhammad Isran Ramli, S.T., M.T., IPM., AER., expressed his appreciation to all graduates for their dedication and hard work throughout their studies. He emphasized that successfully completing their studies was the result of a long process that required perseverance, integrity, adaptability, and a spirit of innovation—qualities that define engineering professionals.
The graduation ceremony began with registration and the opening of the event, followed by an academic report presented by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Student Affairs, Dr. Eng. Hendra Pachri, S.T., M.Eng., IPU. The series of activities then continued with remarks from the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, the announcement of the top graduates’ names, the presentation of alumni medals by the department chairs, the handover of the graduates to the Faculty of Engineering Alumni Association (IKATEK), the recitation of the alumni pledge, and a presentation on the tracer study and the alumni endowment fund.

On this occasion, the Unhas Faculty of Engineering also presented awards to the top graduates at the faculty level from each educational level as a form of appreciation for the academic achievements they attained during their studies.
For the Doctoral Program (S3), the title of top graduate was awarded to Mohammad Azhar Shauqy from the Doctoral Program in Mechanical Engineering, who achieved a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 4.00 and completed his studies in 3 years and 2 months. At the Master’s (S2) level, the award was presented to Dzaki Surya Fitrawan from the Master’s Program in Regional and Urban Planning, who achieved a GPA with a study period of 1 year and 3 months. Meanwhile, the title of top graduate in the Bachelor’s Program (S1) was awarded to Ade Feby Arnaj from the Bachelor’s Program in Regional and Urban Planning, who achieved a GPA of 3.99 with a study period of 3 years and 8 months and received the distinction of Cum Laude.
For the Doctoral Program (S3), the title of top graduate was awarded to Mohammad Azhar Shauqy from the Doctoral Program in Mechanical Engineering, who achieved a perfect GPA of 4.00 and completed his studies in 3 years and 2 months. His dissertation was titled “The Utilization of Supply Chain-Based Renewable Energy in the Development of the Jeneponto Regency Dry Port in South Sulawesi.” The research offers an innovative approach to the development of sustainable logistics infrastructure through the integration of renewable energy sources into the dry port area’s supply chain system. This study highlights the importance of utilizing clean energy to improve operational efficiency, reduce dependence on fossil fuels, and support low-emission development targets in the transportation and logistics sectors. The research findings are expected to serve as a reference for local governments, industry players, and other stakeholders in designing environmentally friendly and highly competitive logistics areas, particularly in the South Sulawesi region.

Beyond academic achievements, the graduate profiles demonstrate the Faculty of Engineering at Unhas’s commitment to promoting effective and high-quality completion of studies. In the Bachelor’s program, 137 graduates successfully completed their studies within four years. In the Master’s program, 50 graduates completed their studies within two years, while in the Doctoral program, three graduates were able to complete their studies within three years.
