The Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University Establishes a Partnership with Musamus University in Merauke.
The Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University has established a partnership with the Faculty of Engineering at Musamus University in Merauke. This partnership was formalized with the signing of a cooperation agreement between the two parties. The signing ceremony took place on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, in the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University. Prior to this, a discussion meeting was held between the Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University and the Faculty of Engineering at Musamus University on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, in the Conference Room on the 3rd floor of the CoT Building, attended by the Associate Dean for Planning, Resources, and Alumni, Dr. Eng. Ir. Muhammad Rusman, M.T.
This cooperation agreement was signed directly by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University, Prof. Dr. Eng. Ir. Muhammad Isran Ramli, S.T., M.T., IPM., ASEAN. Eng., and the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Musamus University in Merauke, Ir. Frederik Haryanto Sumbung, S.T., M.Eng., IPU, ASEAN Eng., who was accompanied by the Associate Dean for Partnerships, Research, and Innovation.
On this occasion, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Musamus University expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome from the Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University. Ir. Frederik also noted that Musamus University has long collaborated with Hasanuddin University. The reason for choosing to partner with the Faculty of Engineering is not only because it is one of the best universities in Eastern Indonesia but also because most of Musamus University’s faculty members are alumni of Hasanuddin University. Ir. Frederik added that Musamus University still requires significant guidance and support from larger universities and hopes that this collaboration will be mutually beneficial for both parties.
The objective of this collaboration is to enhance the quality of the implementation of the Tridharma of Higher Education, which comprises the areas of Education and Teaching, Research, and Community Service.
