CoT Technology Center Establishes a Partnership with the Transportation Policy Agency, Ministry of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia
In connection with the formulation of the policy titled “The Use of Technological Devices in Motor Vehicles as a Tool for Early Detection of Load Compliance” for Fiscal Year 2024, the Transportation Infrastructure Center of the Transportation Policy Agency, Ministry of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia, in collaboration with the CoT Technology Center, signed a Cooperation Agreement on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, in the 3rd-floor conference room of the CoT Building at the Gowa Faculty of Engineering.
The signing ceremony was attended in person by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University, Prof. Dr. Eng. Ir. Muhammad Isran Ramli, ST., MT., and was signed by the Head of the CoT Technology Center, Dr. Eng. Ir. Muhammad Ramli, M.T., and the Head of the Transportation Infrastructure Policy Center, Ir. Erni Basri, S.T., M.Eng. Also present was Teguh Pairunan Putra, S.T., M.M., serving as the Authorizing Officer. In addition to the signing ceremony, the event was also attended by the faculty members of the policy drafting team, namely Dr. Ir. Chairul Paotonan, ST., MT., Dr. Eng. Muralia Hustim, ST., MT., IPU., AER., Dr. Eng. Andi Amijoyo Mochtar, ST., M.Sc., and Rizal Pauzi, S.Sos., M.Si. One member of the drafting team was unable to attend: Fajlurrahman, S.H., M.H.
Prof. Prof. Dr. Eng. Ir. Muhammad Isran Ramli, S.T., M.T., who serves as Dean of the University’s Faculty of Engineering and is also a member of this policy drafting team, noted that the collaboration between CoT and BKT has existed for a long time, dating back to when BKT was still known as the Transportation Research and Development Agency under the Ministry of Transportation. Meanwhile, Dr. Ir. Chairul Paotonan, ST., MT., as the team coordinator, noted that this initiative represents a challenge for CoT. Therefore, the drafting team is committed to completing this project on time and to a high standard to maintain CoT’s reputation and the trust of its partners.
The objective of this collaboration—and the purpose of this Agreement—is to formulate policy recommendations regarding the use of technological tools on motor vehicles as a means of early detection of cargo compliance, in the form of a Policy Paper, Policy Brief, Urgency Memorandum, Regulatory Draft (Legal Drafting), Norms, Standards, and Procedures (NSP) for the implementation of early-detection tools for motor vehicles, as well as official correspondence (letters from the Minister/subsector heads, and official memos from agency heads).
