The Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University Hosted a Benchmarking Visit from Halu Oleo University.
The Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University hosted a visit from Halu Oleo University. This visit was conducted as part of a benchmarking initiative for the Master’s Program in Civil Engineering and the Professional Engineer Education Program. The benchmarking session took place on Monday, November 6, 2023, in the 3rd-floor conference room of the CoT Building at the Faculty of Engineering, Hasanuddin University.
The event was officially opened by the Associate Dean for Partnerships, Research, and Innovation, Dr. Ir. Rustan Tarakka, ST., M.T., IPM., ASEAN,Eng., and was attended by the Head of the Master’s Program in Civil Engineering, Dr. M. Asad Abdurrahman, S.T., M.Eng.PM., the Head of the Professional Engineering Education Program, Dr. Eng. Ilham Bakri, ST., M.Sc., and the Associate Dean for Student Affairs and Alumni, Prof. Dr. Ir. Adris A. Putra, S.T., M.T., who were accompanied by faculty members and staff from the Faculty of Engineering at Halu Oleo University.
In his remarks, Dr. Rustan welcomed the delegation from Halu Oleo University once again and expressed his hope that through this benchmarking visit, both parties could discuss the launch of the Master’s Program in Civil Engineering and the Professional Engineering Education Program.
Meanwhile, Prof. Adris took this opportunity to express his appreciation to the Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University for hosting the delegation from the Faculty of Engineering at Halu Oleo University. This visit is part of the process to launch the Master’s Program in Civil Engineering and the Professional Engineer Education Program, which requires human resources specialized in these fields. Prof. Adris also explained that Halu Oleo University chose Hasanuddin University for this benchmarking session because more than half of the faculty members at Halu Oleo University’s Faculty of Engineering are alumni of Hasanuddin University.
Following the opening ceremony, the benchmarking session continued with a discussion to explain the details of launching the Master’s Program in Civil Engineering and the Professional Engineer Education Program.
