The Faculty of Engineering at Unhas has entered into a partnership with the South Sulawesi National Land Agency

Friday, November 25, 2022, at the CSA Building, 2nd Floor, 2 of the Gowa Faculty of Engineering, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Hasanuddin University Faculty of Engineering and the South Sulawesi Provincial Office of the National Land Agency regarding the creation of basic land maps using Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV)/Drone technology in support of National Strategic Projects (PSN) and other land service programs.

The Vice Dean for Partnerships, Research, and Innovation, Dr. Ir. Rustan Tarakka, ST, MT, represented the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr.-Eng., Ir. Muhammad Isran Ramli, ST, MT, IPM, at the signing ceremony. Meanwhile, the South Sulawesi Provincial Office of the National Land Agency was represented by Winarto, ST, Head of the Survey and Mapping Division. The signing of the cooperation agreement was witnessed online by the Director of Land and Spatial Basic Surveying and Mapping at the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), Ir. R. Agus Wahyudi K., M.Eng.Sc.

This collaboration aims to establish a partnership between the Faculty of Engineering and the South Sulawesi Provincial Office of the National Land Agency for training activities in the creation of basic land maps using Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) technology. This initiative will be followed up by the Department of Regional and Urban Planning at the Unhas Faculty of Engineering for several programs, namely:

  1. Assistance and the creation of base maps for the PTSL (Comprehensive Systematic Land Registration) program across all Regional Offices of the National Land Agency in South Sulawesi.
  2. Collaborative classes for the Master’s Program in Regional and Urban Planning
  3. Thematic Community Service (KKN) program for students in collaboration with the South Sulawesi Provincial Office of the National Land Agency

Also present alongside the Associate Dean for Partnerships, Research, and Innovation at the Unhas Faculty of Engineering was Dr.-Eng. Ir. Abdul Rachman Rasyid, ST., M.Si. (Chair of the Department of Regional and Urban Planning). Meanwhile, joining the Head of the Survey and Mapping Division of the South Sulawesi BPN were Ismuryani M, S.Kom (Head of the Legal, Personnel, and Organizational Subdivision), Nurjabal Rahmah, S.H., M.H. (Junior Land Administrator), and Hamzah, S.SiT., M.H. (Junior Land Administrator).
