The Rector of Hasanuddin University Officially Swears In Eight New Officials in the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Engineering

Makassar, June 9, 2026 – The Rector of Hasanuddin University, Prof. Dr. Ir. Jamaluddin Jompa, M.Sc., officially installed eight new officials within the Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University for the term 2026–2030. The swearing-in ceremony, which took place at the Hasanuddin University Rectorate Building, is part of efforts to strengthen organizational governance and accelerate the Faculty of Engineering’s strategic programs in support of achieving Hasanuddin University’s vision as a world-class institution of higher education.

This swearing-in ceremony also marked the beginning of new leadership in a number of strategic positions at the dean’s office and faculty support units. The three officials sworn in as members of the faculty leadership are:

  • Dr. Eng. Hendra Pacri, S.T., M.Eng. as Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Student Affairs.
  • Dr. Ir. Edward Syarif, S.T., M.T. as Vice Dean for Planning, Finance, and Resources.
  • Prof. Ir. Muhammad Bachtiar Nappu, S.T., M.T., M.Phil., Ph.D. as Vice Dean for Research, Innovation, Partnerships, and Alumni.

In addition, the Rector also appointed five officials to strategic units within the Faculty of Engineering, namely:

  • Dr. Eng. Faizal, S.T., M.Inf.Tech., M.Eng. as Head of the Center of Technology (CoT) at the Faculty of Engineering.
  • Dr. Ir. Sapta Asmal, S.T., M.T. as Secretary of the Center of Technology (CoT) at the Faculty of Engineering.
  • Prof. Dr. Ir. Rustan Tarakka, S.T., M.T., IPM., AER. as Chair of the Quality Assurance and Reputation Enhancement Task Force at the Faculty of Engineering.
  • Dr. Ir. Fitriyanti Mayasari, S.T., M.T. as Secretary of the Faculty of Engineering’s Quality Assurance and Reputation Enhancement Task Force.
  • Prof. Dr. Eng. Andi Erwin Eka Putra, S.T., M.T. as Head of the Faculty of Engineering’s Center for Faculty Development and Global Connectivity.

This inauguration marks a strategic step in strengthening the leadership of the Faculty of Engineering, which is currently headed by Prof. Dr. Eng. Ir. Muhammad Isran Ramli, S.T., M.T., IPM., AER. as Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University for the 2026–2030 term. With this new leadership structure, the Faculty of Engineering is expected to be even better equipped to address the challenges of higher education development, strengthen a culture of research and innovation, and enhance its academic reputation both nationally and internationally.

In his remarks, the Rector of Hasanuddin University emphasized the importance of collaboration, integrity, and innovation in fulfilling the mandate of leadership. The newly appointed officials are expected to introduce various breakthroughs that support improvements in the quality of education, academic services, research, community service, and the strengthening of global partnership networks.

The Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Isran Ramli, expressed his appreciation and congratulations to all officials who have been entrusted with new responsibilities. According to him, synergy between the faculty leadership and strategic units is key to realizing the transformation of the Faculty of Engineering into a leading, innovative, and globally competitive engineering faculty.

Through the inauguration of these eight new officials, the Hasanuddin University Faculty of Engineering further strengthens its commitment to continuously contribute to the development of science, technology, and innovation, while producing competent graduates capable of making a tangible impact on national and community development.
