To Strengthen Internationalization, Hasanuddin University’s Faculty of Engineering Establishes a Strategic Partnership with Anhui Fuxin Education Consulting Co., Ltd. of China
The Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University (FTUH) continues to make its mark on the international stage in pursuit of its vision of becoming a World-Class University. This strategic move was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) between FTUH and a leading Chinese educational consulting firm, Anhui Fuxin Education Consulting Co., Ltd., which took place at the FTUH Gowa Campus on Monday, June 1, 2026.
This bilateral collaboration is designed to build an integrated international training system that links secondary and higher vocational education in China with undergraduate education at FTUH. Additionally, this partnership focuses on developing joint research, aligning curricula, and providing career pathways for students through a cross-border industry network.
The Dean of the Hasanuddin University Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Eng. Ir. Muhammad Isran Ramli, S.T., M.T., IPM, AER, stated in his remarks that this collaboration represents a major leap forward in accelerating the faculty’s internationalization.
“This partnership with Anhui Fuxin Education serves as a golden bridge for FTUH to expand its academic and research networks with institutions and corporations in China. Through this integrated system, we are ready to welcome the best graduates from China to pursue interdisciplinary undergraduate studies on our campus without language barriers, thanks to our internal language assessment mechanism. This is a tangible example of FTUH’s contribution to cultivating global talent.”
Meanwhile, Sun Xiaoxing, Chairman of Anhui Fuxin Education Consulting Co., Ltd., expressed great optimism regarding this long-term partnership, which is scheduled to last for the next five years. He emphasized that this initiative is rooted in the spirit of educational exchange under the Belt and Road Initiative.
“We are proud to establish a comprehensive partnership with FTUH, one of the top engineering faculties in Indonesia. Fuxin Education is fully committed to serving as an educational service provider that facilitates the implementation of the program, including the establishment of the China Regional Joint College. Beyond student exchanges, we will also help FTUH students secure internship and job opportunities at various major Chinese companies operating in Indonesia, as well as support those who wish to pursue further studies in China through scholarship programs.”

Providing further details on the technical implementation on the ground, FTUH’s Third Vice Dean for Partnerships, Research, Innovation, and Alumni, Prof. Dr. Ir. Rustan Tarakka, ST., MT., IPM, explained that this partnership will be realized through concrete and measurable collaboration at the department level.
“The implementation of this MoA will soon be translated into more specific Cooperation Agreements (PKS) for each field. Our primary focus in the near future is to integrate the industry-academia-research (tripartite) cooperation model with universities in China. Fuxin Education’s involvement will greatly help accelerate the placement of FTUH alumni in strategic industrial sectors, while also strengthening the existing research and innovation ecosystem at the Hasanuddin University Faculty of Engineering.”
The signing ceremony concluded with a group photo session and a closed-door discussion on tactical steps for implementing joint curriculum development as well as special scholarship programs designed to reduce students’ tuition costs.
