Unhas Faculty of Engineering Holds Handover Ceremony for Dean’s Office and Strategic Unit Officials for the 2026–2030 Term
The Hasanuddin University Faculty of Engineering held the Handover Ceremony for Dean’s Office and Strategic Unit Officials for the 2026–2030 Term at the Hasanuddin University Faculty of Engineering Exhibition Hall on Wednesday (June 10). This event marked an important milestone in the leadership transition process and reaffirmed the commitment to continuing the various strategic programs currently underway within the Faculty of Engineering.
The event was presided over by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University, Prof. Dr. Eng. Ir. Muhammad Isran Ramli, S.T., M.T., IPM., AER., and was attended by faculty leaders, department chairs, program directors, faculty members, support staff, and the academic community of the Faculty of Engineering.
The handover ceremony took place following the inauguration of the new officials by the Rector of Hasanuddin University on June 9, 2026. During the event, the outgoing officials formally handed over their duties and responsibilities to the new officials, who will serve until 2030.
At the dean’s office level, the handover of duties took place from Prof. Dr. Ir. Amil Ahmad Ilham, S.T., M.IT. to Dr. Eng. Hendra Pacri, S.T., M.Eng. as Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Student Affairs. The position of Associate Dean for Planning, Finance, and Resources was handed over from Dr. Eng. Ir. Muhammad Rusman, S.T., M.T., IPM. to Dr. Ir. Edward Syarif, S.T., M.T.. Meanwhile, the position of Associate Dean for Research, Innovation, Partnerships, and Alumni was transferred from Prof. Dr. Ir. Rustan Tarakka, S.T., M.T., IPM., AER. to Prof. Ir. Muhammad Bachtiar Nappu, S.T., M.T., M.Phil., Ph.D.
In the quality assurance unit, the position of Chair of the Quality Assurance and Reputation Enhancement Group (GPMPR) was transferred from Ir. Abdul Mufti Radja, S.T., M.T., Ph.D. to Prof. Dr. Ir. Rustan Tarakka, S.T., M.T., IPM., AER. Meanwhile, the position of GPMPR Secretary was transferred from Dr. Eng. Fakhruddin, S.T., M.Eng. to Dr. Ir. Fitriyanti Mayasari, S.T., M.T.
Within the Center of Technology (CoT), the position of Head of Pustekno CoT was transferred from Prof. Dr. Ir. Muhammad Ramli, M.T., IPM. to Dr. Eng. Faizal, S.T., M.Inf.Tech., M.Eng. Meanwhile, the position of Secretary of the CoT Technology Center was transferred from Abd. Haris Djalante, S.T., M.T. to Dr. Ir. Sapta Asmal, S.T., M.T.
In addition, the Faculty of Engineering also marked the beginning of the leadership of Prof. Dr. Eng. Andi Erwin Eka Putra, S.T., M.T. as Head of the Center for Faculty Development and Global Connectivity, a unit that plays a strategic role in expanding international networks, institutional development, and enhancing the global reputation of the Faculty of Engineering.
In his remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Isran Ramli, expressed his deep appreciation to all former officials for their dedication and contributions during their terms of office. According to him, the Faculty of Engineering’s various achievements—whether in the fields of academics, research, international accreditation, or strategic partnerships—would not have been possible without the role of these officials, who carried out their duties with a strong sense of responsibility.
Furthermore, the Dean emphasized the importance of collaboration and synergy among units in addressing the increasingly dynamic challenges of higher education. Strengthening academic quality, increasing research productivity and innovation, expanding international partnerships, digital transformation, and enhancing global reputation are the key priorities that will continue to be developed during the 2026–2030 leadership term.
The handover ceremony took place in a warm and familial atmosphere, marked by the signing of the official minutes, the transfer of official documents, the presentation of appreciation to outgoing officials, and a group photo session with all leaders and members of the academic community.
Through this handover, the Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University reaffirms its commitment to ensuring the continuity of its work programs, strengthening institutional governance, and increasing its contributions in the fields of education, research, innovation, and community service—all toward building a Faculty of Engineering that is excellent, innovative, and globally competitive.
