Unhas’s Faculty of Engineering Strengthens Synergy Among Student Organizations to Enhance Student Achievement and Competitiveness
Gowa, June 12, 2026 – The Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University (FTUH) held a Coordination Meeting with the Student Senate Executive Board, Student Activity Units (UKM), and the Executive Boards of Student Associations across FTUH on Friday (June 12) at the Insinyur Co-working Space in the Cafe Insinyur Building. The event was led by the Associate Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Dr. Eng. Hendra Pachri, S.T., M.Eng., IPU, and was attended by the Manager of Student Affairs, the Secretary of Student Affairs, faculty student affairs administrators, and representatives from student organizations.
This meeting served as a strategic forum to strengthen collaboration between the faculty, study programs, and student organizations in supporting the improvement of student achievements at both the national and international levels.
In his remarks, Dr. Eng. Hendra Pachri emphasized the importance of synergy among all elements of the student affairs sector in supporting various student development programs. One of the main focuses discussed was increasing student participation in various competitions, including the Student Creativity Program (PKM), engineering competitions, and various programs coordinated by Belmawa.
In addition, the meeting also discussed strategies to accelerate the completion of the Character Development Course (MKPK), optimize the role of students in supporting the achievement of student performance indicators, and strengthen collaboration between student organizations and academic programs in creating programs that have a direct impact on improving student achievement.
Belmawa’s role as a platform for developing student potential and achievements was also a focus of the discussion. The faculty encourages information regarding programs, competitions, and opportunities for self-development to be disseminated more widely to students through existing student organization networks.
This event also served as an open forum for dialogue between faculty leadership and students. Participants shared various suggestions regarding efforts to improve student achievement, funding support for activities, competition coaching, and strengthening the mentoring system for students participating in various competitions.
Through this meeting, the Unhas Faculty of Engineering hopes to foster a shared commitment among the faculty, academic programs, and student organizations to continuously improve the quality of student achievements and strengthen students’ contributions in supporting the achievement of the faculty’s and university’s performance targets.
Strong synergy among all student organizations is believed to be the key to producing outstanding, high-achieving students from the Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University who are capable of competing at the national and international levels.
