A Student from the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, Faculty of Engineering, University of Hasanuddin, Wins the Silver Best Video Presentation Award at iNUPC 2026

Makassar, June 16, 2026 – Students from the Department of Regional and Urban Planning (PWK) at the Hasanuddin University Faculty of Engineering have once again achieved a remarkable feat. Dwina Wahdaniah HA, a 2022 PWK student, won the Silver Best Video Presentation Award at The 3rd International Urban Planning Conference (iNUPC) 2026, which was held online by Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) on June 15, 2026.

The award was earned for a video presentation of her research titled “Intermodal Integration of Water and Land Transportation at Taeng Crossing Through Spatial and User Perception Analysis”. This research was supervised by Dr. Sri Aliah Ekawati, S.T., M.T. and examined the integration of land and water transportation modes in the Taeng Crossing area through spatial analysis and user perception. The study aimed to provide recommendations for the development of a more effective, integrated, and sustainable transportation system.

The 3rd International Urban Planning Conference (iNUPC) 2026 is an international conference that brings together academics, researchers, students, and practitioners from various countries to discuss strategic issues related to regional and urban planning. This forum serves as a platform for sharing knowledge, research findings, and innovations that support sustainable urban and regional development.

Dwina’s success in winning an international award demonstrates the quality of students at the Hasanuddin University Faculty of Engineering, who are capable of competing globally through innovative and practical scientific work. This achievement also reflects the strong synergy between students and faculty in producing research that contributes to the advancement of scientific knowledge and the resolution of urban problems.

The Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University expressed appreciation for the achievement earned by Dwina and her faculty advisor. According to him, this achievement is tangible proof of the quality of education and academic guidance that continues to be developed within the Faculty of Engineering.

“We congratulate Dwina Wahdaniah HA and her advisor, Dr. Sri Aliah Ekawati, S.T., M.T., on this proud achievement. Recognition at an international forum such as iNUPC 2026 demonstrates that students from the Hasanuddin University Faculty of Engineering have the capacity to compete at the global level. This achievement also contributes to the Faculty of Engineering’s Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), particularly regarding student achievements at the international level,” said the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University.

It is hoped that this achievement will motivate other students to remain active in research, competitions, and international scientific forums. The Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University is committed to continuing to support student capacity building through various academic and non-academic programs to produce graduates who are outstanding, innovative, and globally competitive.
