The Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University Establishes a Partnership with the Surabaya State Electronics Polytechnic.
The Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University and the Surabaya State Electronics Polytechnic established a partnership in the areas of the Three Pillars of Higher Education by signing a Memorandum of Agreement. The signing of the MoA took place on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, in the 3rd-floor conference room of the CoT Building, Faculty of Engineering, Hasanuddin University.
The Associate Dean for Partnerships, Research, and Innovation, Dr. Ir. Rustan Tarakka, ST., M.T., IPM., ASEAN.Eng., in his remarks, extended a warm welcome and expressed his appreciation to the delegation from the Surabaya State Electronics Polytechnic for visiting the Faculty of Engineering building at Hasanuddin University. Rustan Tarakka also stated that the signing of this MoA is intended to embody the integration of the three pillars of higher education—teaching, research, and community service—between both parties.
The signing was conducted by the Associate Dean for Partnerships, Research, and Innovation, Dr. Ir. Rustan Tarakka, ST., M.T., IPM., ASEAN. Eng., who in this instance represented the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University, Prof. Dr. Eng. Ir. Muhammad Isran Ramli, S.T., M.T., IPM., ASEAN Eng. Meanwhile, the Surabaya State Electronics Polytechnic was represented by Dr. Bambang Sumantri, S.T., M.Sc., as the Deputy Director for Academic Affairs at the Surabaya State Electronics Polytechnic.
The Deputy Director for Academic Affairs at the Surabaya State Electronics Polytechnic, Dr. Bambang Sumantri, S.T., M.Sc., also stated in his remarks that the reason for choosing Hasanuddin University for this collaboration was the many similarities between the two institutions, and he expressed hope that this partnership would strengthen both parties. In addition, the Surabaya State Electronics Polytechnic also wishes to foster relationships with universities in central and eastern Indonesia, which is why it chose Hasanuddin University as a partner.
Accompanying the Deputy Director for Academic Affairs of the Surabaya State Electronics Polytechnic on his visit to the Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University were Dr. Ir. Rika Rokhana, MT; Dr. Agus Indra Gunawan, ST., M.Sc.; and Rahardhita Widyatra Sidibyo, S.ST., MT., Ph.D. Meanwhile, representatives from the Faculty of Engineering included the Chair of GPMPR, Ir. Abdul Mufti Radja, ST., MT., Ph.D.; the Chair of the Department of Electrical Engineering, Dr.-Eng. Ir. Dewiani, MT; the Chair of the Professional Engineer Education Program, Dr.-Eng. Ir. Ilham Bakri, ST., M.Sc., IPM., ASEAN; Eng. Hamzah, ST., MT, Manager of Student Affairs, as well as several faculty members and educational staff.
