The Unhas Faculty of Engineering Brings the “Impactful Campus” Initiative to Life Through Mentoring for High School Revitalization in South Sulawesi

Jakarta, June 24, 2025 — The Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University (FT-UH) is strengthening its role as part of the national “Impactful Campus” movement launched by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology through active participation in the High School Revitalization Program implemented by the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education. In this program, FT-UH has been entrusted as a partner to assist in the revitalization of infrastructure at 82 high schools in South Sulawesi that are receiving assistance from the central government.

This assignment was formalized through the signing of a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) between the Directorate of Senior High Schools, the Directorate General of Early Childhood, Primary, and Secondary Education, Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, and several universities in Indonesia, which took place on June 23–25, 2025, at the Arosa Hotel in South Jakarta.

Prof. Dr. Ir. Muhammad Isran Ramli, M.T., IPM., ASEAN Eng., Dean of the Unhas Faculty of Engineering, attended in person and signed the cooperation agreement on behalf of Unhas. Under this agreement, the FT-UH will be actively involved in the technical assistance process, which includes assessing school infrastructure needs, technical design planning, monitoring construction implementation, and reporting on the results of the revitalization efforts.

The Faculty of Engineering’s involvement in this program is a concrete manifestation of the implementation of the three pillars of higher education, particularly in community service and contributions to national educational development. This collaboration reflects the strategic role and contribution of the Unhas Faculty of Engineering in promoting the successful implementation of the revitalization program nationwide and supporting the sustainable transformation of elementary and secondary education.
