Unhas’s Faculty of Engineering Defends Its Title, Winning Back-to-Back Unhas Cup Championships in 2026

Makassar, June 15, 2026 – The Hasanuddin University (Unhas) Faculty of Engineering Soccer Team (FT Unhas) has once again achieved a remarkable feat. After successfully winning the Unhas Cup 2025, the team nicknamed “Teknik” once again demonstrated its dominance by emerging as the 2026 Unhas Cup Champion, thereby securing back-to-back championship titles in this prestigious University of Hasanuddin sporting event.

In a fiercely contested final match, the Faculty of Engineering team managed to defeat the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) team by a narrow 1-0 margin. This victory ensures that the Unhas Cup challenge trophy remains at the Faculty of Engineering campus for the second consecutive year.

From the preliminary rounds through the finals, the Faculty of Engineering team performed consistently, demonstrating a strong fighting spirit, disciplined play, and solid teamwork. This impressive performance was the key to their success in defending their title and once again bringing honor to the Faculty of Engineering at the university level.

The Dean of the Hasanuddin University Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Eng. Ir. Muhammad Isran Ramli, S.T., M.T., IPM., AER, expressed his appreciation and pride in the students’ achievement.

“I extend my warmest congratulations and highest appreciation to all the players, coaches, team managers, the FT Unhas Soccer Club, and everyone who contributed to this success. The Faculty of Engineering team’s back-to-back championship titles prove that engineering students not only excel academically but are also capable of achieving remarkable feats in sports,” said Prof. Isran.

Furthermore, Prof. Isran emphasized that the Faculty of Engineering will continue to support the development of students’ interests and talents through various student activities, including sports.

“The Faculty of Engineering consistently supports the development of character, sportsmanship, leadership, and teamwork through sports activities. This success demonstrates that the training conducted so far has been effective and has produced achievements that bring pride to the faculty.”

He also hopes that this achievement will motivate all students in the Faculty of Engineering to continue excelling in various fields.

“May this achievement inspire all students in the Faculty of Engineering to continue working hard, compete in a healthy manner, and bring honor to their alma mater at the university, national, and international levels. The challenges ahead will certainly be greater, so fighting spirit, discipline, and team cohesion must be maintained.”

The success in defending this championship title further solidifies the Faculty of Engineering’s position as one of the leading forces in student athletics at Hasanuddin University. This victory also serves as a sweet reward for the Faculty of Engineering’s academic community, who provided full support to the team throughout the 2026 Unhas Cup.

By winning the championship titles at the 2025 and 2026 Unhas Cups, the Faculty of Engineering team made history as back-to-back champions, ensuring that the rotating trophy remains at the University of Hasanuddin’s Engineering Campus.
