With the theme “Collaboration, Internationalization, Acceleration,” the Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University Celebrated Its 64th Anniversary.

To mark its anniversary, the Hasanuddin University Faculty of Engineering held the main event for its 64th anniversary. The celebration took place on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at the Faculty of Engineering campus in Gowa.

The event was officially opened by the Rector of Hasanuddin University, Prof. Dr. Ir. Jamaluddin Jompa, M.Sc., who was accompanied by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Eng. Ir. Muhammad Isran Ramli, S.T., M.T. IPM., AER., and was attended by the Board of Trustees of Hasanuddin University, deans and vice deans from across Hasanuddin University, and alumni of the Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University, including H. Andi Sudirman Sulaiman, S.T., and Ir. H. Danny Pomanto.

In addition to the main event, the Faculty of Engineering’s anniversary celebrations consisted of a variety of activities, ranging from sports and arts competitions to an international conference, community service, and much more.

This main event was also combined with various activities, such as the inauguration of new facilities—the Japan Corner, the Integrity Zone Park, the Counseling Room, the Health Room, and the Lecturer Lounge—as well as the launch of the AntekHub app by the Rector of Hasanuddin University, an introduction to the AntekHub app and the Endowment Fundraising Campaign, the presentation of IKU-based Department Awards, and the FTUH Alumni Award.

In his remarks, the Rector of Hasanuddin University expressed his hope that the Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University would become a center for technological research advancement, particularly within Hasanuddin University.

Meanwhile, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University took the opportunity to express his deep gratitude to all parties who have helped the Faculty of Engineering grow and improve, and expressed his hope that it will continue to improve in the future.

The event was chaired by Dr. Fakhruddin, S.T., M.T., in collaboration with various stakeholders, including faculty members, students, and support staff within the Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin University.
